WHO I AM
To put it simply, I'm a just a person who wants to help the youth of today. After buying my first home, and realising all of the unexpected issues that come with, I realised that there aren't really any clear guides on what to expect if you want to have your own space. So I thought I'd make one.
I've left home and gone back so many times, I've found the pitfalls in renting, and I've now finally bought my own house to call home. There have been many times that I wish there was a guide available to tell me what to expect, what I should do, or who I should contact, and each time I've found the minimal amount of help which wasn't really helpful at all. I want to make life a little easier for others who may be either struggling, or have absolutely no idea where to start.
WHAT I DO
When you leave home, you are bombarded with price comparisons for broadband, insurance, energy prices and credit card offers which can make it incredibly difficult to know where to start. Not to mention the things that are non-negotiable like council tax, TV Licensing and water bills.
My aim is to make a blog which acts as a understandable and comprehensive guide on how to handle life after education. What are the first steps to moving out? What do you need to look out for? What insurances do you need? What services do you have to pay? Who do you contact if you need help? What additional responsibilities will you have?
It is my goal to answer these questions and more, and to help you prepare for your future life.
